5.2 Graphical Synthesis Method for Five Positions

In graphical method we simply draw the two circle point curves k1234 and k1235 or draw the two centerpoint curves m1234 and m1235 and determine the intersections of these curves.

Consider the five positions of a moving plane as shown in Fig. 5.2.

If we consider positions 1, 2, 3 and 4, The center point and circle point curves are as shown in Fig. 5.3a. If positions 1, 2, 3, and 5 are considered the center point and circle point curves are obtained as shown in Fig. 5.3b. Figure 5.4 is the plot of the two circle point curves on the same graph (one can as well use the two center point curves instead of the circle points). One can clearly identify four intersection points.
